Ian McDaniel

Ian McDaniel attended Texas State University for his undergraduate degree in music education from 2011 to 2015. Once he graduated he went on to be an assistant band direct for Gonzales ISD from 2015 to 2018. He was then promoted to head band director from 2018 to 2022. While in Gonzales he began writing drill for his marching band and other band directors he knew in other competitive areas. In addition, he used this time to work on his masters degree in educational administration which he completed in 2022. Ian McDaniel then moved on to be the head band director of Cedar Creek Middle School in Bastrop ISD from 2022 to 2024. While there he continued to write marching drill for indoor percussion and full marching bands. Through this time he realized how much he enjoyed writing marching drill and Swift Marching Productions was born.
